Our history

”Together towards a world without childrens cancer’

Foundation ‘Wereld Zonder Kinderkanker was initiated in 2008 under the name ‘Community Services Rotary Club Amsterdam Spinoza’.

World Child Cancer The Netherlands was founded in 2018 by the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric Oncology with its main purpose to support outreach activities and  to improve health and care for children with cancer in ‘low- and middle income’ countries.

In 2021, both foundations were merged and use the name Foundation World Child Cancer The Netherlands

Over the past 15 years World Child Cancer Global  (UK, USA and NL) has reached 60.000 children and their families. Working with partners in 13 different countries, every day we are one step closer to closing the gap in childhood cancer care.

Reaching over 9700 children in 2021, we want to raise this number to over 16000 by 2025. It is an ambitious target. But with your support, we know we can get there
