75 World Child Cancer volunteers organize beautiful Gala
Over 250 guests and 75 volunteers attended the World Child Cancer gala.
Utrecht – June 12, 2024
World Child Cancer Foundation – The Netherlands is not the sponsor of the publication “Excess mortality across countries in the Western World since the COVID-19 pandemic: ‘Our World in Data’ estimates from January 2020 to December 2022”.
World Child Cancer is incorrectly listed as sponsor in this publication. World Child Cancer is dedicated to the equal treatment and care of children with cancer in low- and middle-income countries. Over 400,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and over 80% of them live in low- and middle-income countries where the survival rate is 10-20%. This contrasts with high-income countries, such as the Netherlands, where the survival rate is over 80% five years after diagnosis.
Thanks to the committed donors of World Child Cancer – The Netherlands, World Child Cancer can fund programs and projects that transfer knowledge and skills to hospitals in low- and middle-income countries. The Outreach team of the Princess Máxima Center implements these programs and projects.
